ABOITIZ CUP TOURNAMENT RULES 2009

ABOITIZ CUP TOURNAMENT GROUND RULES

 

REGISTRATION OF TEAM & PLAYERS

Each Team shall submit the list of Players (max. on its specific category), two official coaches and one Manager. Its registration fee (Php 5,000.00 for the teams joining the League/ P2,500.00 for the Men’s Cup/ Php 1,000.00 for all age groups ) prior to the opening game set on the 9th of August 2009 to the organizing committee. Failure to do so shall mean disqualification to join the tournament.

LAW OF THE GAME

All matches shall be played in accordance with the laws of the game as promulgated by the international board published by FIFA.

MODE OF COMPETITION

1.      Elimination Round

a.      Six teams and below, single-round-robin.

b.      Seven teams up, two brackets, each bracket will have single-round robin.

c.      For Men’s Open Cup type and League type shall apply.

2.      Quarter Finals: Categories, which have more than 2 brackets, shall be applied.

3.      Semi-Finals: Applicable on bracket system.

1st place of Bracket A plays 2nd place of Bracket B

1st place of Bracket B plays 2nd place of Bracket A

For League Type, Top Team will automatically be the champion.

4.      Finals

a.      Top 2 teams will play the championship; next two placers will play for third place.

b.      Winners in the semi-final round plays for championship, losers in the semi-finals play for third place.

c.      League type, Top team will be the champion.

5.      In the event, two or more are tied after the elimination round; the following system shall be applied to break the tie.

 

a.      Goal difference

b.      Greater number of goal scored

c.      Winner over the other

d.      Kicks from the penalty mark involving the teams

e.      Toss coin

6.      Should there be a draw during the semi-finals/finals

a.      There will be an extension. – Silver goal will be applied

2 x 15 mins. = all 11 aside teams

2x 5 mins. = 9 a Side teams

b.      If there is still a draw after extension, 5 penalty kicks will be applied

c.      If there is a draw after 5 penalty kicks sudden death will be applied.

DURATION OF PLAY

1.      The duration of every match shall be as follows:

Ø      Players 8             = 40 minutes divided by two half’s.

Ø      Players 10           = 50 minutes divided by two half’s.

Ø      Boys 12              = 60 minutes divided by two half’s.

Ø      Girls 14               = 60 minutes divided by two half’s.

Ø      Boys 14              = 70 minutes divided by two half’s.

Ø      Girls 17               = 80 minutes divided by two half’s.

Ø      Boys 17              = 80 minutes divided by two half’s.

Ø      Men’s Open        = 90 minutes divided by two half’s.

Ø      Women’s Open    = 90 minutes divided by two half’s.

Ø      38 Above            = 90 minutes divided by two half’s.

2.      Whenever there is an extension of time, no player shall be allowed to leave the field of play unless the referee has given consent.

SUBSTITUTION OF PLAYERS

1.      The names of the substitutes must be given to the 4th official (referee) or tournament officials prior to the commencement of the match.

2.      ONLY 7 substitutions are allowed.

3.      Any player substituted shall not be allowed to re-enter.

4.      Flying Substitution shall apply for 38 above only.

 REFEREES REPORT

Referees reports shall be made in the forms provided and such reports shall be handed to the chairman of the organizing committee.

 PLAYERS CAUTIONED OR DISMISSED FROM THE FIELD OF PLAY

1.      A player who received two cautions (yellow card) during the tournament shall automatically be suspended in the next match after receiving the second caution.

2.      A player dismissed from the field of play by the referee shall remain suspended from further play until cases has been decided by the Disciplinary committee.

 PROTEST

1.      All kinds of protest must be submitted to the organizing committee in written within 24 hours.

2.      Failure to submit within 24 hours; all protest will not be entertained.

 WITHDRAWAL / WALK OVERS / ABANDONED MATCHES

1.      Withdrawals – The Disciplinary Committee shall decide on sanction to be imposed or recommended as a result of withdrawals base on PFF Catalogue of Punishment.

2.      Walkovers – The Disciplinary Committee shall decide to meet immediately to make appropriate decisions and alternatives. Their decisions shall be final and executor on all parties concerned.

3.      Abandoned Matches – If a match has to be suspended as a result of incidents such as walkout by teams, lack of order, spectators invading the field of play, etc…, the organizing committee must meet within 24 hours of the incident and determine the action to be taken. Should it be necessary to award a match to an opponent, three (3) points. Shall be awarded with the score of 2-0 or possibly more if the opponent is leading in score at the time of stoppage. A fine of Php 1,000.00 shall be imposed for the no-show.

 POINTS

          Win     = 3 points

          Draw   = 1 point

          Lose    = 0 point

 PLAYERS BEHAVIOR

1.      Clean appearance for good image of the match.

2.      Socks pulled up.

3.      Jersey tugged into the shorts (no taking off the jersey).

4.      No shin guard, No play.

5.      Fair Play.

 INJURY OF PLAYER

1.      Unless it is deemed in advisable to move the injured player from the spot, treatment should be given outside the field of play.

2.      Injured Goalkeeper can be given treatment on the field in the stoppage of the game and the game will only restarted until due treatment had been given to the goalkeeper.

3.      Players who will make mockery at the game be pretending injured will be cautioned.

4.      The club shall not be responsible for any injury to a player throughout the tournament.

INTERPRETATION OF THE RULES

The interpretation of rules and all matters not provided for shall be dealt with by the organizing committee whose decision shall be final.

WEATHER CONDITION

All games shall be played on schedule except when weather and field condition upon evaluation of the organizing committee is unplayable shall be cancelled and rescheduled. If a game is stop more than ¾ of the whole game then the score shall prevail and awarded to the winner otherwise the game shall be rescheduled to another date and start to zero minutes.

AWARDING

          Awarding of trophies and prizes shall be done right after the championship game.

 WAIVER

The organizing committee shall not be responsible for any incident brought about during the entire tournament. Team heads shall take full measures to comply with the rules and regulations set upon by this committee.
